5 minutes to spare?

If you only have five minutes to spare, take a breath and let your eyes wander over some of these heartwarmingly simple images by my friend Valerie Pehrson. Her photography reminds me of Joseph's technicolour dreamcoat: http://www.flickr.com/photos/musesings13/sets/1340255/

For Princess Pieds Night and Day

Check out CocoRose. You'll never have to complain of sore feet again!!

These divine, dalmation patterned cream and black spotted foldable flats are real attention grabbers. Our quirky fold ups are finished with a dramatic red, satin bow and are already proving to be a big hit so best make sure you get in there quick!

This is the must-buy pair of foldable flats for anyone choosing to dress in this season’s ‘in’ colours of black and tomato red. It’s also the perfect choice for anyone who feels the thunder in the balls of their feet after a long day at the office or some intensive partying.

The shoes fold up and come in a black leather style purse adorned with big red satin bow on the front panel. In the back pocket of the purse is a chic, black satin bag carrier bag, handy for storing and carrying your removed high heels.

Jimmy Who? Oh yes, Jimmy Choo

My friend Denise and I decided to go along and see for ourselves what all the fuss is about with the new Jimmy Choo range for H&M. Having battled the scores of salacious, fashion conscious girls all desperate to get close to the coveted shoes and clothes designed especially for H&M, we had to say that much of it didn't stand up to scrutiny even after four glasses of bubbly. The usual high quality finishing that defines Choo was somewhat absent though there were a few gems in the collection including the shoes pictured here which I naughtily purchased for myself. A snip at 100 pounds (OUCH) though I consoled myself that they'll be perfect for our horrendous Winter and get plenty of wear.

Poetry: City Kids

Gently, carefully she strokes
his big brown and white kind face,
letting her hand trace
the outline of nose and mouth.

Scratching between his ears
she has no reason to fear
for she cannot truly be near
enough to feel his rough whorls of hair.

She cannot smell the sweet scent of grass
that as he exhales, swims on a breeze
which does not brush,
her translucent pearly white skin.

It's hard and smooth the rounded glass,
under her touch and not hide she feels,
from the closet of her city living room
as the cow turns to her and says moo.

For girls who like cheese - yum

The most beautiful cheese you will ever eat can be found here: http://www.thecheesebox.co.uk

It ain't great on the waistline but it works wonders on the tongue and that's coming from a woman who lived in Paris for a year because the best thing is, they're all British. These guys sell beautiful artisan cheeses of British origin and particularly, from Kent. They will have online shopping soon but in the meantime, they do deliver. Perfect for Christmas.

The most beautiful fireworks ever...

Wandworth Council outdid itself last night with the most spectacularly spellbinding display of fireworks I have ever seen. This simply must be added to the diary for 2010. Beautiful...

We could all use a little healing

I have known Genevra for a number of years and though her influence in my life has only been limited, it has most certainly been positive and I encourage anyone who has experienced or is experiencing emotional and even physical difficulties, to consider her services.

Poetry: Sunset in Paris

Where the Seine meets the sky, spilling over the edge of the horizon,
its waters become fiery in the molten sunset, flanked by the dark silhouettes of Paris' architectural treasures: Notre-Dame, the Louvre and the Musee D'Orsay.

As day turns to dusk and gives birth to the night,
the amber turns pearly and the river is lustrous with the moonbeams' glow.

Timma's Makeover

These are some of the pictures from a makeover I did recently...

Cherry Picked Styling Service

So what is the service all about?

I can help you infuse your look with a bit of flavour and blush up your style from your hair and make-up to your clothes and accessories. Using new items cherry picked by me to complement your current wardrobe, I'll help create the looks that work for you. I regularly scour places like Portobello Road and Spitalfields Market, sales and charity shops in London and Paris, saving you time and effort but creating a style unique to you. You can also pick and choose the bits of the service that best suits you:

• a consultation looking at what works in your existing wardrobe and what you might need to say goodbye to. We’ll agree a budget for new clothes and/or make-up and I’ll do some personal shopping for you ready for the full makeover.

Either
• Fully Picked - a full makeover day where you'll visit the hairdresser, followed by a make-up artist then back to either my house (ideally) or yours for a spot of lunch/dinner and the full session. We’ll put some outfits together - already selected by me - and take some stunning photos to record your new look. You’ll also get a card to take away with personal shopping and styling tips.
Or
• Light Cherry - a makeover evening where we’ll create some looks for you but I would work with your existing hair and makeup adding some new pieces to your wardrobe. You’ll also take away some great photos of your new look and a card with your personal shopping and styling tips.

My rates are £250 for Light Cherry which can be an evening or a half day, and £380 for Fully Picked. I will then work within your budget for hair, make up and clothes but suggest a minimum clothes budget of £500 however, this is only a guide and we can discuss this during the consultation. I can also offer £25 cash back for referring me to a friend.
